Position: Positions Available<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Department of Applied Chemistry invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">2. <strong>Anticipated Starting Date<br \/>\n<\/strong>The positions are available starting <strong>August 1, 2027<\/strong>. A later starting date may be arranged by mutual agreement, subject to the University\u2019s appointment procedures.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">3. <strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants must:<br \/>\n(1) Hold a doctoral degree and have at least one year of postdoctoral research experience or equivalent<br \/>\nresearch experience.<br \/>\n(2) Demonstrate a strong record of research accomplishments and the potential to establish an<br \/>\nindependent research program.<br \/>\nPreference will be given to candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Physical chemistry, particularly theoretical and computational chemistry, including quantum chemistry<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Organic chemistry<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Analytical chemistry<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Polymer chemistry<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">4. <strong>Application Materials<br \/>\n<\/strong>Applicants should submit the following materials:<br \/>\n(1) A cover letter.<br \/>\n(2) A curriculum vitae, including a complete list of publications.<br \/>\n(3) A copy of the doctoral degree certificate and academic transcripts for all undergraduate and<br \/>\ngraduate studies.<br \/>\n(4) Copies of up to five representative publications.<br \/>\n(5) Course outlines for at least two undergraduate- or graduate-level courses that the applicant is prepared to teach. Each outline should include the course title in both Chinese and English, the intended student level, and a brief course description.<br \/>\n(6) A statement of future research plans.<br \/>\n(7) Three letters of recommendation. In principle, the three letters should include one from the<br \/>\napplicant\u2019s doctoral advisor and one from the applicant\u2019s postdoctoral advisor. If applicable, a letter from a supervisor overseeing the applicant\u2019s relevant research or professional work may be submitted in place of the letter from the postdoctoral advisor. All letters must be submitted directly by the referees in accordance with the instructions in Section 6.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;\">5. <strong>Application Procedure and Deadline<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease combine the <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">materials listed in Items (1) through (6) of Section 4<\/span><\/strong>, in the specified order, into a single PDF file.
